Study Tips for College Students with ADHD

ADHD, or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, is one of the most commonly diagnosed neurodevelopmental disorders. It is often identified in childhood by a combination of two main behaviors: inattention and hyperactivity/impulsivity. Inattention often presents as failure to follow through on instructions, avoiding tasks that require prolonged focus, or losing track of items. Hyperactivity/impulsivity may appear as fidgeting frequently, interrupting others repeatedly, or having difficulty waiting quietly.
